In our practice, we perform many different treatments such as general dentistry, orthodontics, dental surgery and root canal care. We also produce implants in our in-house dentistry and we manufacture and adjust personalized braces.
On request, we provide anesthesia. You and your dentist choose the best option for you. This may be a local anesthetization done by injections or a conscious analgesic sedation (a painless-trance state). We also have an anesthesiologist available. We can advise you.
Since 2002 we work in our practice with dental implants. Implants can be described as artificial tooth roots, which are used to replace missing teeth in the jawbone. Before any surgeries, we recommend a bone rebuilding/regeneration procedure to stabilize the affected area. We provide professional advice.
Our range of 3D-planning and navigation (using computer tomography), allows us to make your treatment a very comfortable experience.
We use a computer based procedure called Cerec AC in order to produce our dental prostheses. On the PC we take a look at the digitalized impressions of your teeth and show and discuss your personal 3D model images. Later, the digital data gets directly transferred to our in-house dentistry. There it serves as a template for your dentures. Our in-house dentistry then manufactures your implants, bridges or crowns (implant-, metal-, ceramic-, or cast crowns). Our full ceramic restorations are hardly distinguishable from natural teeth and therefore meet high aesthetic demands. Overall, the entire process can be done within a short period of time. Prior arrangements and planning allows us to directly schedule appointments with our dental technician.
Orthodontia (KFO) is a specific field in dental medicine that deals with the prevention, detection and treatment of deformities of the jaw and teeth. Any deformities get corrected with special devices such as the well known brace, practices or specific therapies, such as functional therapy. After the treatment, it is important to consolidate all achieved improvements. Motivation and participation of patients is a very important factor of success.
Misalignment of teeth can be the cause of many complaints, not only within the mouth. To counter these problems, we recommend a Functional Therapy. Such therapy attempts to relax all involved muscles, relieving congested structures of the temporomandibular joint or individual teeth. In practical terms, we manufacture a teeth bruxism guard (or dental splints), which can be applied by the patient himself/herself. This helps to relieve and soothe involved muscles and tissues. In parallel, we recommend physical therapy measures. When the acute symptoms subside, we analyze what actions may need to be taken so that the patient can chew without any dental splints.
Professional tooth cleaning is a very important supplement for optimal oral hygiene and long living, healthy teeth. Thorough cleaning decimates harmful bacteria and prevents dental diseases such as periodontal disease or tooth decay from harming you.
We clean your teeth with Airflow or ultrasound and fluoridate them afterwards. The fluoride protects your teeth from tooth decay and hardens the tooth enamel. We re-check your teeth and take a look at the overall results to ensure satisfaction.
Oral hygiene training and nutrition is another important component of prophylaxis. For that reason we have a specially trained dental nurse available in our practices to answer all of the questions you might have.
Inaccessible niches in your mouth and rough tooth surfaces are ideal habitats for bacteria. Those microscopic organisms process sugar acids which attack the tooth’s hard structure and dissolve it. The decay is spreading further.
Dental Care involves the removal of caries, the cleaning of teeth and the subsequent filling of the resulting defects. Tooth-colored acrylic resin is a functional and aesthetic alternative to amalgam.
Once the decay has already penetrated deep into the tooth it is very likely that the dental pulp (consisting of nerve and blood vessels) got damaged. This inflammation can cause intense pain. A root canal treatment removes diseased tissues from the tooth. Antibacterial drugs clean the tooth from the inside. Finally, the root canal gets sealed or covered and the tooth crown can be applied.
This branch of dentistry deals with the periodontium which consists both of gums and jawbone. Microorganisms play a decisive role. They attach themselves to the gums or gingival pockets. This results into an inflammation which can also infect the bone (periodontal disease). The body reacts with a reduction of bone cells and the tooth becomes loose. No treatment may lead to the loss of the tooth.
Treatment, however, involves regular dental cleanings both above and below the gumline. Besides manual methods, we also offer Airflow or Vector technology. The surface of the tooth is cleaned and polished to prevent further adhesion of microorganisms in order to give the body a chance to regenerate itself (reconstruction of bone).
This field of dentistry deals with the substitution of extreme weakened crowns or missing teeth. With help of crowns, bridges and implants, the row of teeth can be completed again. By using the 3D Cerec System (full-ceramic restorations), it is possible to manufacture, functional and esthetic prosthesis. Removable dentures made of plastic and noble metals even guarantee patients with none or some few remaining teeth a perfect solution. Furthermore, Implantations give patients and yourself many supply margins and possibilities.
We are able to offer (besides professional tooth cleaning) gentle and effective teeth whitening. This cosmetic application should not be performed at home as teeth can get damaged due to improper handling or false drug usage. A prior diagnosis is very important. Bleaching may calls for special treatments or additional after treatments, e.g. special mouth guards prevent the bleach from getting into places where it should not be used.
Note: All artificial teeth remain unaffected. All false teeth may need to be readjusted to the new tooth color later on. The costs of bleaching are not covered by any German health insurance. Bleaching might be an aesthetic act, but for sure not a medically necessity.
Porcelain Veneers are used for cosmetic corrections of teeth. Whenever bleaching is insufficient or tooth gabs are visible, a veneer can be used in order to make a cosmetic change. In general, veneers are glued onto the front of the teeth. If a tooth is in an extreme poor condition or has too little substance, a crown is placed instead of veneers.
We are experienced with Twinkles and Dazzler, commonly known as tooth jewelry. We look forward to assist or advice you, if help is needed.
